1. Glass packaging
Glass packaging is transparent and beautiful, not easy to penetrate, and has good chemical stability. In addition, glass products are convenient for recycling and reproduction, which reduces environmental pollution while saving resources. However, glass materials have problems such as heavy weight, easy breakage, low temperature sensitivity, and high cost. From a safety point of view, the main component of glass is silica, which is an inert material. As a direct contact material, it is not easy to affect the safety of cosmetics. 2. Metal packaging
Metal packaging has excellent gas barrier properties, moisture resistance, light-shielding properties and fragrance retention properties, and is mainly used in lipsticks, hand creams, powder cakes and other products. But its chemical stability is poor, as a direct contact material, it needs inner coating isolation protection, otherwise it will easily affect the quality of cosmetics. In recent years, pure metal packaging has also become less and less, and the common packaging is a combination of metal and plastic.
3. Plastic packaging
Plastic is currently the most widely used material in cosmetic packaging, but its safety is also difficult to guarantee. Plastic packaging has a small specific gravity, is easy to color, is resistant to fall, has strong plasticity, and is low in price, suitable for mass production. And its printing performance is also very good, it can directly print labels and logos on the surface.
Plastic containers for cosmetics are generally composed of resin raw materials and related additives. Commonly used resin raw materials include polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and polyvinyl chloride (PVT). )Wait. In order to improve some properties of plastic packaging materials, a certain amount of additives such as plasticizers, stabilizers, antioxidants, etc. will be added. These additives can better improve the chemical properties of packaging, but they may also migrate out during the storage of cosmetics and affect the quality and safety of the products. The recycling of plastics is also very common. In order to improve its performance when used again, more additives will be added, which increases the safety risk. In addition, there may be residual monomers in the plastic resin synthesis process, and there will be a risk of precipitation when exposed to light or high temperature. If the material is used in cosmetic packaging, it is likely to migrate into the cosmetics, thereby endangering consumer health.
